Progress of my first assignment!

This is my first assignment based on the art movement Pointillism. During the tutorial, my beloved lecturer, Miss Lisa told me to choose between a self portrait of myself or a animated cow. After a night of thinking, I've finally decided to put both of them into one painting instead of choosing either one of them. It was fun doing this art movement although it takes a lot of time to paint because I need to fill up the spaces with dots.

These are the pictures I took while doing the painting and sketching :)

Throughout this artwork, I have learned that we need to spend a lot of times to do our artworks so that it will turn out better. I hope my lecturer and my classmates will like my self portrait. :D

My first Principles Of Design class!

This post is about the first day of mine in Principles Of Design. The reason why I am posting  this late is because I've totally forgotten to post it hahahaha xD. So basically on that day, we were missioned to draw a mind map about ourselves. It was quite interesting and it was the first time I make a mind map about myself.

The second mission is to go around the campus to search for pieces of nature and unwanted things to create a self portrait. I took some straws from a restaurant and some leaves. I tried my best to make it looks like myself hahahaha.

After we are done for our self portraits, we were told to present our self portraits. I was so nervous that I sweated a lot during the presentation D: I think the reason why I am nervous is because this is my first time presenting something that I've done and in front of people that I don't really know as it was just the second week of spending time with them hahaha. I think I am getting better now.. hmmm.. at least I don't sweat while presenting anymore hahahaha.

These are the self portrait and the mind map I did on my first class.

Wheeeeeee :D

Helloooooo
Welcome to my blog! :)

This is my first time blogging. The reason why I am blogging now is because of the school. Every students in my class is suppose to make one so that my lecturer can give us marks on it. We must blog for our assignments in order to let our lecturer to mark. Blogging has become part of my daily life now.

Two weeks ago, my lecturer, Miss Lisa gave us an assignment about art movements. We are asked to design a self portrait based on the art movement we choose. For the tutorial, we have to do 6 sketches of art movements that we like and suit our own styles. What is art movement? Art movement is the composite titles that are give to artworks. You can go to this link here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_art_movements, if you are interested to find out more about art movement.

Pointillism caught my eyes when I was doing researches on the art movements. It inspired me to give it a try to use it for my self portrait. I also learned more about this art movements through http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pointillism. Basically, Pointillism is a technique of painting in small dots with pure color in patterns to form an image.

These are some example of the famous Pointillism paintings:
